Steam electric power plants

Electrostatic precipitators

Electrostatic filters are plates though which high voltage direct current flows. Thus, the ash particles running through these plates become ionized and are attached to them; they are later removed using different methods (oscillation, hammers etc). They are collected and placed in a special space. For this procedure to work smoothly and the anticipated quantity of ash to be collected, the systems need to be built in a reliable manner, especially where vulnerable points, such as parts between removal-disposal hoppers, are concerned.
