Cold (cryogenic insulation)

Increased consumption of natural gas to cover industrial or domestic needs led to the development of cryogenic systems for transporting and storing it. With temperatures that many times approach -196ïC, insulating these systems poses great challenges in choosing appropriate materials and mostly in installing them by qualified personnel.

For instance, in order to insulate 1m2 of transport-propulsion piping of cryogenic liquids we need to use 10-12 different combined materials. Their installation needs to be 100% solid, because when the air or humidity comes in contact with the material, ice is produced extensively, which then either damages the system or loses large quantities of energy.

Our company, having repeatedly applied particularly strict specifications such as those established by M.W. Kellogg Limited in double wall storage tanks and propulsion piping, guarantees the smooth operation of your plant.
